Siemens PLC and HMI courses for a professional training institute, run since going independent. They cover the whole S7 range, S7-300/400 as well as S7-1200/1500: programme development, hardware configuration, WinCC operator interfaces, industrial networking and drive fault diagnosis, in both the classic toolchain and TIA Portal. The audience is working engineers, not beginners, so the material is built around faults I have met on production equipment rather than textbook exercises.

Hands-on training for operators and maintenance staff at food processing plants across China: system controls, the principles behind optical calibration, recognising faults, and first-line troubleshooting. Each course was shaped to its site, its production and how experienced its operators were.
Johnson & Johnson: PacDrive3 Servo Training

An advanced PacDrive3 course built from scratch for Johnson & Johnson's pharmaceutical engineers: servo system architecture, motion programming, parameter tuning and on-site fault diagnosis. The same depth reaches back to the ELAU generation, so the material could just as well become a course on upgrading from the ELAU architecture to PacDrive3.

Siemens PLC and HMI courses, beginner to advanced, for engineers and technicians from factories across China: S7-300/400, S7-1200/1500 and WinCC. Taught from the shop floor rather than the textbook, drawing on eleven years inside a multinational machine builder. Factory I/O 3D simulation came into the courses early, while it was still a novelty, and went down well with institutions and students alike.

Nine years of electrical training across SIG Combibloc's filling machine range, at the in-house training centre and at customer sites throughout Asia-Pacific: PLC/HMI operation, electromechanical fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance. The hands-on modules were built from real production situations, for SIG's own field engineers and for customers' technical teams.
Combismile Filler & DS Course Development
SIG Combibloc (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.
Jul 2016 – Mar 2018
Led training course development for the newly launched Combismile filling machine, SIG Combibloc's next-generation platform. Coordinated trips for trainers and field engineers to SIG's R&D headquarters in Germany, to learn the prototype and take part in its commissioning. The courses went through round after round with the global training centre team, keeping pace with the machine design all the way to production release.
